A wonderful cello bow made by the England's best bow maker, John Dodd in London at the start of the 19th Century.  This bow is made from the most glorious pernambuco, strong and dense with a great spring.  James Tubbs has remounted the bow with modern silver mounts, presumably replacing the original open frog and ivory or ebony button.  We also have several other Dodd bows in stock with the original mounts.

This bow is a great players bow, with ideal weight and strength.  It draws a warm, comforting, rounded tone.

The weight is 83 grams.
