A fantastic cello bow made in the workshop of W. E. Hill & Sons circa 1980 mounted in gold, mother of pearl and faux tortoiseshell.
 
This is an ideal bow for the player or collector alike.  It's a top spec Hill bow made to their exacting standards with the finest pernambuco.  At this time the Hill workshop ceased using genuine tortoiseshell and whalebone for the obvious ethical reasons, making this bow ideal for the travelling player with no need for complicated CITES certificates, licenses or the need to worry when playing abroad. 
 
In excellent, original condition with the original faux whale bone lapping and receipt from the Basford Brothers in the 80s.
